The OTT CTD is a versatile sensor that measures water depth, temperature, and conductivity.
Features
- Outputs for depth include pressure and water level or depth to water
Outputs for conductivity include specific conductivity, salinity, and total dissolved solids User-friendly interface with simple setup using PC or PDA Ceramic pressure cell provides industry-leading accuracy Robust and reliable in any environment Long-term deployments or high frequency pump studies Compact and complete system for measurement
Benefits Conductivity, depth, and temperature measurements are combined into a single device that easily installs in a 1” or larger well or conduit Infrared interface, batteries, and desiccant cartridges are easily accessible at the well cap with no tools required Intuitive programming and data download using either a laptop or a PDA The option to log temperature and pressure at independent intervals Ability to perform contact gauge control measurements without sensor removal, so no need to pull the cable for routine maintenance Ceramic pressure cells, unlike membrane technology, will not deform over time, providing long term measurement stability Complete and automatic compensation for temperature, density of water, and barometric pressure Kevlar reinforced cable will not stretch over time, even at lengths up to 200 meters Maintenance is simple—especially compared to the membrane of a silicon strain sensor - 4 MB of memory provides capacity for over 500,000 data points—ideal for long-term deployments OR short-term, high resolution pumping studies
- Can be powered for over 18 months with off-the-shelf alkaline batteries or over 5 years with lithium batteries
